A guy in Florida purchased my 2009 album VIII back in January and I’ve been putting off sending it.
I just packed his $1 CD along with some goodies including
4 more $1 CDs
4 copies of “this”
A couple dozen assorted condoms
A shirt
A poster
A movie trailer that once played at the Nickelodeon
A photograph of a car I printed in high school
And a nice hand-written note.
I had a dream I was playing to a crowd of 9 year olds.
No younger, no older.
Glass Fingers playing Paper Butterflies at the Supermoon Party on the Docks on May fifth, two thousand and twelve.
After much deliberation,
The Secret Glass Fingers show is on for tonight!
8pm sharp!
The Docks under the Casco Bay bridge in South Portland
If the cops come we’ll kiss them ‘till they surrender
As a musician, it’s terribly frustrating to feel as though I have to beg for a chance.
I can’t ask people to vote for me in a contest or like/follow me on social media with dignity or integrity.
I don’t want to have to depend on a good show review or album review to determine my worth as a musician.
I’ve had pretty good luck making some good friends (or already having some good friends) in and around Portland that do a lot of the music blogging and magazine/newspaper writing and such, and I have a decent base of friends and supporters to grow from, but growing to the next step with integrity and upholding my values is pretty hazy territory.
Secret Show Alert:
Saturday, May 5th.
Docks under the bridge on the South Portland side.
